Audion Premier Line level with moving magnet phono stage pre-amplifier is built on a quality substrate pcb (printed circuit board), and, as with all Audion amps, they are hand built. The chassis is black powder coated aluminum as is the transformer cover. The top plate and badge are mirror finished stainless steel.

The Audion Premier line / phono pre-amplifier 1.0 is an active class A device. Built with 4 line level buffered inputs and an MM phono stage, switched from the front panel, 2 line outputs and a direct un-switched tape output. This pre-amp has the benefit of our MM phono stage as above included.

The soundstage is extremely fluid and controlled. Roll off in both directions is seamless. Resolution is astounding, with absolutely convincing depth even at very low playing levels. It brings recording to life and places you directly in front of the performance. The phono stage is exactly the same as our stand alone version and is of a step ip transformer less design, meaning it is incredibly fast and fluid.

Amplifier matching

This 1.0 Line level buffered pre-amplifier with built in MM moving magnet phono stage is a great match with our power amplifiers. This is a very good pre-amplifier that can be used as a buffered volume control for any amplifier other than ours that does not have a volume control, or with any amplifier needing a volume control and a phono stage.
