The RM22 Signature has created something of a stir among knowledgeable audiophiles. Stereophile's Senior Contributing Editor, Jonathan Scull, even went so far as to proclaim, "if these smooth, sweet, BIG-sounding speakers aren't the hit of Hifi '97, I 'll eat my shorts!" Happily for Mr. Scull (and his shorts), the speaker was the hit of that event, voted into the top ten of the "Best Sound At Show" survey. The RM22XL, the latest incarnation of this masterpiece,delivers the spaciousness previously associated with panel speakers, but with the superb image focus of a mini monitor and dynamics of a full sized speaker. In fact many panel speaker owners have traded up to the RM22si, finding the virtues of their old panels matched with the additional capabilities of the 22's.
